This Lynden team of workers and their manager, a customer service professional of an excellent standard, all follow a set of consumer-friendly principles. We recommend this place every chance we get because of Cathy and her mellow, country style crew.
The very young cashier at the Lynden store ask me for my date of birth in front of 3 other customers- I looked at the very young gentlemen politely and responded--
"Why do you need my date of birth?" (I am retirement age - he didn't like that I was buying a can of WD40) to which he then dwmanded in a more forceful voice - "Date of Birth!?" You are buying aresol (I was buying a can of WD40) and its required by law! We can have the manager tell you to give if you dont like it"-- apparently he thought I was going to buy the WD40 then hand it to some ragamuffin outside the store to breathe the WD40 aresol and get high. The very young poor cashier seemed flustered so to move things along I gave the date of birth. Never again! Apparently it is NOT the policy of this store management to ask people "of retirement age their "date of Birth" for WD40. The manager I spoke was very wonderful. We had a conversation about this young person. The state is requiring date of birth at check for those that "look" 21". Personally I think its a big difference between 21 and retirement - if you see this young tall black hair individual with glasses cashier that needs better glasses just be aware - if he asks for your date of birth in front of people and your have reciding GREY hair and wrinkles you should ask to speak to the manager.
Been trying to pay a bill online and about to give up and drive the 20 miles . I've tried to set up auto pay but I'll wait for my daughter to do it I give up.ill send checks from now on.
Good place to shop good people & clean
Always a pleasure going here. Staff is awesome
Absolutely terrible customer service. Will likely never return to the store. Went to buy 8ft wood posts, but the stack only had a few bent and severly cracked posts.
When i asked if a new shipment would come soon, was told by staff that they had 80+ posts in stock, but could not open them until the others were sold at full price, as the new bundle would not be able to fit into the rack (Why would i buy a junk product when you could sell me a good product that is in your stock at the same price???)
After explaining i planned to buy upward of 15 posts and the new bundle would definitely fit in whatever rack they only have one of i guess, i was told they might be able to sell me the straight posts, but i would have to wait at least a half hour till a forklift was available as a shipment was being unloaded.
Apparently customers really do not matter to tractor supply, or they would have the ability to keep good stock available for purchase, and not have to have customers negotiate a big enough purchase to be able to buy in store stock that isnt defective, and then be told they had to wait, since the store could not have been bothered to have items in stock available for sale around shipments of incoming stock.
I have really appreciated the selection and quality here. However I won't be back until this pandemic is over. As I entered today, two customers were leaving with no masks who loudly declared, "Don't worry, we're not sick!". I was on alert then because I just lost my aunt and my mother's friend to Covid! However they were customers, not employees so I went on inside, only to find the cashier with her mask under her nose and all the other staff with face shields but no masks. I can't get sick. I work in a rehab facility and my mother is elderly. I do wish people would be more careful of those around them!
Wanted to check out cat food, I bought several of the TSC Brand, it took a couple of days for my fussy eater to eat it. I will get some more here very soon. Good prices on the soft cat food from.59 to .69 cents a can. The cashier, was super friendly and helpful first time in but not my last.
